Sensei Nelson Alers

Sensei Nelson Alers has been in the martial arts for several years.
Mr. Alers was born in Puerto Rico in 1964. He served in USA Army.
He received honorable discharge in 1984.
He studied in the Inter- American University of Puerto Rico and
graduated with a Bachelor degree in Psychology and Special
Education. Sensei Alers was inducted to the Hall of Fame of North
America Federation Of Martial Arts in 2006. Mr. Alers has won
several major competitions in different parts of United States and
the Caribbean. He is a member of the USA National Karate-Do
Federation (member United State Olympic Committees).That is the
only Karate group that represents the martial arts in the Olympic
Committee. Sensei Alers has been selected to help all the students
of the GTSS achieve the highest instructions in the Delaware
valley. Sensei Alers hold the rank of Sandan (3rd Degree black belt)
in Shotokan Karate-do, but he also has ranks in kendo and iaido.
(the use of the samurai swords).He also teaches Modern Arnis and
aerobic kick-boxing. He is the current number one competitor in
the NSKA, WKUHOF for the year 2006 and 2007.

"I love to teach and learn. I train everyday because Karate is a life
long journey. Karate is like hot water, have to applied heat to keep
it hot. Karate for me is not a sport is a way of life. The best about
karate is that contrary to baseball, football or any organize team
sport is that you never sit in the bench. I invite everybody old and
young to come and try Shotokan Karate. You have nothing to
